KenTrade donate Water Tank to Ndabibi School

KenTrade’s General Manager Support Services, Mr. Simon Kiplangat, on 10 June, 2016 led the CSR and Environmental Committee members to a visit to Ndabibi High School in Naivasha, Nakuru County for a Corporate Social Responsibility activity whose highlight was official hand over of a 4200 litre water reservoir tank worth Ksh. 40,000. This is in line with the CSR committee’s Work Plan for the FY 2015/2106. The team, consisting of Hellen Guya, Sylvia Njeri, Joy Kiwango, Godwin Barechi and George Muriithi, were received by the principal of the school, Mr. Paul Njino. KenTrade also donated Ksh. 10,000 to the School for proper mounting of the tank for durability purposes. The tank donation was deemed necessary to aid in the sustainability of trees planted by the committee in the year 2015, which currently have a survival rate of 90%.

The Committee visited the site of the previously planted trees and was delighted to see the trees nourishing. The principal informed the team that the tank is already in use and is not only beneficial to the trees, but to the students and school community, who are using it for their daily water needs. The GMSS assured the school of KenTrade’s support with regard to activities that the school shall be undertaking, that are related to Environmental Sustainability, in the years to come.
