We hosted a delegation from the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation led by Deputy Director Mr Matta Wegman at our head office in Nairobi. Our discussion centered on collaboration towards Kenya’s compliance with the World Trade Organisation (WTO) requirements on customs and border control and specifically the risk management on cargo clearance at the customs and border control units.
KenTrade is ahead on this by facilitating regulatory and permit issuing state agencies through the Cargo Risk Management module which is set for enhancement with the planned upgrade of the Kenya TradeNet System.
