Why KenTrade was ranked the best in Public Service

KenTrade is the best Public Service institution in Kenya having won the overall award at the 2018 African Public Service Day celebrated in Nairobi. The award celebrates institution that have had the greatest impact on public service delivery. CEO Amos Wangora led the staff in celebrating the award, the third in a row over the last two years for KenTrade.

In 2017, the agency won the category award in Innovation during the Africa Public Service Day whose climax was the celebration event in Kigali Rwanda. The annual event that is organized by the Ministry of Public Service Youth and Gender which invites the institutions to submit proposals on innovations that have transformed service delivery to the public.

KenTrade was one of the institutions requested to present proposals and submitted the Kenya TradeNet System as an innovation that has transformed service delivery. Mr. Wangora said the award was proof of the Agency’s relevance and a reward to dedication and commitment to service delivery. He said the agency had invested in innovation as a driver for its growth. Among the thirty-Six (36) submissions made from different institutions drawn from different counties, KenTrade emerged the overall winner
